Progress for a New Generation believes that the promise of America is a society that values the lives and dreams of all of its citizens. In order to fulfill this promise, PNG believes that everybody must recognize their shared purpose and duty to each other in an increasingly interconnected world. Towards that end, we support progressive policies that move our nation forward.

Our prosperity depends on the development of our national potential, which can only be done with a first-class public education system. We believe in investing in our primary, secondary, and college institutions because we recognize the immense return on that investment. We welcome genuine educational reform that seeks to improve the education of all students and reject those reforms that seek to benefit a select few at the expense of many.

Health care in America should be a right, not a privilege. We believe that all Americans must be granted basic access to affordable health care, and that government must play a role towards ensuring that access. Providing primary care to millions of uninsured Americans through our emergency rooms is both ineffective and inefficient, and thus we support a more rational and equitable system of health insurance.

It is the duty of every generation to leave this world in at least as good of a shape as it found it. The exploitation of our land, water, and air at the expense of future generations must be prevented. We believe that individuals and industry must pay the true costs of doing business, including the environmental cost that is unfairly shouldered by society.

All Americans are created equal, and thus they must be entitled to equal opportunity. Our forefathers rejected the feudal system of having nobility and landed gentry, and thus we reject a system where success must be inherited or obtained though virtue of one’s position in life and cannot be earned. All of us, regardless of our demographic profile or our social standing, must see that we live in a country where all have the chance to succeed, and where no one is relegated to second-class status.
